In the early days, Vern would pour sand castings in his family’s backyard, and his sons would help him assemble products in their basement at night.
Founded in 1967, Equus began as a manufacturer of private label instrumentation for a number of OEM and aftermarket brands. Using the expertise honed over years of meeting the most stringent of manufacturing standards, Equus then launched their own line of high quality, affordable automotive instruments. Equus remains a key supplier to some of the largest names in the automotive world and holds a number of US patents governing market leading gauge design and manufacturing.
